Kier Property and Watford Borough Council are delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted for the prestigious “Specialist Developer of the Year” award at Property Week’s RESI Awards 2025. The nomination is in recognition of their outstanding work at Avenues, a residential development, which consists of 62 private homes 23 affordable units, 20 of which are for social rent – delivering sustainable housing for both new and future communities and a key part of the ambitious £500 million Watford Riverwell regeneration project.

The Watford Riverwell regeneration is the largest mixed-use regeneration project in Watford. With a total investment of £500 million, it aims to revitalise 70 acres of land to the south of Watford General Hospital, delivering new homes, green spaces, and enhanced infrastructure. The Avenues development forms a vital part of this transformation, providing high-quality residential spaces and contributing to the overall community-focused environment of the area.

The RESI Awards celebrate the most exceptional achievements in the residential property sector, bringing together developers, landlords, investors, and local authorities to honour excellence and innovation. Kier Property and Watford Borough Council have been recognised for their transformative efforts at Avenues, where they have created a vibrant and sustainable community that aligns with the broader vision of the Watford Riverwell project.

The winner of the “Specialist Developer of the Year” category will be announced during the RESI Awards ceremony on 7th May 2025. The team at Kier Property and Watford Borough Council eagerly anticipates the outcome, viewing the shortlisting itself as a testament to their hard work, vision, and partnership approach.
